Bulgaria gets ready to mark European Heritage Days

36 museums, institutions and houses of worship across Bulgaria will throw open their doors on the 16th and 17th of September as part of the European Heritage Days.

The European Heritage Days will be taking place for the fourth year running, but in 2017 they coincide with the day of Sofia – September 17th.On this daythe presidency is holding an open doors day and the first members of the public who enter the building will be welcomed by President Rumen Radev himself.  

The Bulgarian National Bank will be displaying its collection of coins, while Sofia municipality will organize walking tours, following in the footsteps of religious tolerance, to the St. Nedelya Christian Orthodox church, the Sofia synagogue, the Banya Bashi mosque, as well as the St. Joseph Catholic church.
