Mark Rutte commends Bulgaria for its efforts in combating contraband and corruption

Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Netherlands commended the Bulgarian government for their efforts and successes in combating contraband and corruption and assured Bulgarian PM Boyko Borissov that Bulgaria is on the right track.

During their bilateral meeting in Tallinn preceding the digital technologies meeting, Borissov acquainted Rutte with the steps the country has taken to safeguard the external border of the EU and with the current situation with regard to the migratory pressure. During the meeting the Bulgarian PM stressed that Bulgaria meets the criteria for accession to the Eurozone “waiting room” and the Schengen area.
