President Rumen Radev: Police batons will not solve problem in Spain

On the occasion of the referendum in Catalonia and the actions of the Spanish government, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said police batons would not solve the problem existing in Spain.

"This is a huge problem not only for Spain but also for the whole of Europe. The crisis from 2008 clearly exacerbated egoism and centrifugal tendencies in Europe. In any case, police batons will not solve the problem. On the contrary – this is deepening them," the Bulgarian head of state added.
