The process of Roma integration is delayed in Bulgaria, the EU Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality Věra Jourová told the Bulgarian National Radio. This topic will be in the focus of discussions during Commissioner Jourová’s visit to Bulgaria on October 25 and 26. The Roma people themselves must have serious contribution to the process, in order to witness a progress in Roma integration. This is my clear message and I will share it with the non-governmental organizations during my meetings. The European Union is paying a lot of money for integration and we want this money to be used as intended, Commissioner Jourová pointed out.
