On the territory of Bulgaria, Belgium, France, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, a large-scale operation has been carried out in order to neutralize an organized criminal group operating on the territory of these five countries and dealing in trafficking of foreign citizens from Afghanistan and Pakistan to the European Union. The criminal group had specialized in transporting illegal migrants in hidden spaces in vehicles. Evidence of money laundering have also been collected. In March 2017 a joint investigation team was set up between the five countries together with Eurojust and Europol.
