Bulgarian Minister of Health Nikolay Petrov has resigned and Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has accepted the resignation, the government's press service said.

Earlier, a bTV investigation revealed that Petrov, as head of the Military Medical Academy, had signed contracts for about 800,000 euros with a company represented by an entrepreneur with whom his daughter lived on a family basis and had a child.

At the time of signing the deal, his daughter was also the head of the political cabinet of the then Health Minister Petar Moskov.
