Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister for Judicial Reform and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva has met for talks in Madrid with her counterpart Alfonso Dastis Quecedo and with Justice Minister Rafael Catala.
The sides have discussed the EU agenda pertaining to defense and security, migration pressure, asylum policy, creating new jobs, cohesion policy support and Brexit.
Zaharieva has been given assurances that the Spanish government will fully support Bulgaria’s accession to Schengen, as well as the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
