Western Balkans expected to take advantage of Bulgarian EU Presidency

The European Commission expects the countries from the Western Balkans to benefit from the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union to be able to make progress in their EU integration.

This sums up the message of Christian Danielsson, Director-General for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations,who joined the discussion The European Perspective of the Western Balkans held in Sofia. He has also said that apart from the security of the Western Balkans, special attention should be given to their economic development.
