Interior Ministry reports decline in migration flow via Bulgaria

Bulgarian Interior Minister Valentin Radev has said there is a trend of declining migration pressure on Bulgaria.

Since the beginning of the year until 31 October the total of 2678 citizens of third countries have been detained.

Compared to the number of detained during the same period of 2016, a decline by 84.5% is seen.

Nationals of Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq prevail among detained migrants this year.

Since the beginning of the 2017, 1771 citizens of third countries who have entered the country illegally have been deported.
