Sofia is a city in which many people have difficulties with orientation because of the lack of information boards in foreign languages. This is what results from a poll of more than 200 tourists show.

That is why the Municipality of Sofia has developed a new system for orientation in the city and urban transport. The system includes signs that direct people to certain important areas, buildings and streets. The reason for the new system is the Bulgarian Presidency of the European Council, Malina Edreva from Sofia Municipality said.

She added that the municipality wanted to maximize the motivation of participants in the meetings during the Bulgarian presidency to use public transportation in order to city traffic.
