"2017 has marked a new stage in the development of bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Macedonia. It is important, however, that the Neighborhood Agreement be ratified by the parliaments of the two countries," Bulgarian Vice-President Iliana Yotova said during her visit to Macedonia. She pointed out that the procedure for obtaining Bulgarian citizenship will soon be speeded up by changes in the law. 71 524 Macedonian citizens have received Bulgarian passports since 2001, and since the start of the current Presidential team's mandate, their number is 1184.
