The governing body of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) General Assembly will present today a schedule of protests by researchers during Bulgaria's Presidency of the Council of the EU, as of 1 January.
The BAS scientists and researchers are demanding a higher subsidy for the academy for next year and more funding for science. At the end of November, the researchers organized a protest while MPs were voting the national budget for 2018 in parliament.
