PM Boyko Borissov is not attending the parliamentary debates on the first no confidence motion in the government; the three deputy prime ministers – Tomislav Donchev, Krasimir Karakachanov and Valeri Simeonov - are present, as are some of the cabinet ministers.

The no confidence motion over corruption, was submitted by the “Bulgarian Socialist Party for Bulgaria” coalition.
“Corruption is one of the consequences of the absurd way the country is governed, of the disastrous model which does not offer a clear vision or governance strategy,” said Ceyhan Ibryamov from the Movement fir Rights and Freedoms, DPS. GERB party MPs defended the government’s policy for combating corruption. Volya party chairman Veselin Mareshki stated that a no confidence motion is voted to bring down the government, but that at this time this would push the country towards timelessness. The no confidence motion is expected to be voted on Thursday, Dnevnik writes. It is supported by the Bulgarian Socialist Party and the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, which means that it will fail, as the two parties have a total of 105 MPs, whereas 121 votes are needed to bring down the government.
