Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ekaterina Zaharieva, has presented in Brussels the priorities of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
Speaking to the EP Committee on Foreign Affairs, Zaharieva listed the four main priorities of the presidency, pointing out the importance of the European perspective of the Western Balkans for the well-being of Europe.
"There is no way for a secure and stable Europe without secure and stable Balkans," Minister Zaharieva said, adding that the summit in May this year in Sofia will be the first event at such a level after the meeting in Thessaloniki in 2003.
