The flu epidemic in Bulgaria has been spreading and reached the capital city of Sofia. An influenza epidemic has been announced by order of the head of the Sofia Regional Health Inspection on January 27 on the territory of Sofia-city district.
Preventive and planned activities in health care centers have been limited, as well as child and woman counseling, vaccinations and visits to hospitals. From January 29 to February 2 schools are also closed. Because of the flu, classes are stopped in over 150 schools across the country.
