Bulgarians travelled abroad 459,200 times in December 2017, which is 15.6 percent up on December 2016, National Statistical Institute data indicate.
The increase is highest in travels for pleasure and recreation - 42.2 percent, business trips - 11.4 and others – 6.3 percent. Bulgarians travelled most often to Turkey, Greece, Serbia, Romania, Macedonia, Italy, Austria, Spain and the UK. In December 2017 foreign nationals visited Bulgaria 596,100 times, or 12.2 percent more than in December 2016.
