Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Krasimir Karakachanov, who is also the leader of IMRO – Bulgarian National Movement, said that one of the options for the new name of Macedonia negotiated between Skopje and Athens was “Republic of Ilinden Macedonia”.

Minister Karakachanov pointed out that he had no worries about Macedonia's new name and added that the dispute should be decided in the talks between Macedonia and Greece and that Bulgaria should support this process so that this Balkan issue is solved.

Karakachanov made the comment after during yesterday's EU-Western Balkans Summit in Sofia it became clear that the Prime Ministers of Greece and Macedonia, Alexis Tsipras and Zoran Zaev, would be ready with a decision for the name within a month.
