Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has declined the meeting with Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov, scheduled for tomorrow morning, the government press service has confirmed.

During his visit to Sofia, Ivanov will not be meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva either.

Borissov stated that he did not wish to interfere in the domestic affairs of our neighbor and sees no point in his government being used in the domestic political debate in Skopje. Integration into the EU and NATO is crucial to the future development of the neighbouring country and that is something that must not be called into question, the Bulgarian prime minister said.
