On July 11 NATO invited Macedonia to open talks for accession to the alliance. Today, Macedonia’s Premier Zoran Zaev and NATO’s Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg signed an official document allowing Macedonia and NATO to start membership negotiations. Macedonia has been participating actively in the missions of the alliance and contributed to the peace and stability in Afghanistan.
