Bulgarian Parliament adopts measures against football hooliganism

Through amendments to the Public Order Protection Act, the Bulgarian parliament has taken decisive measures against football hooliganism. Access to sporting events will be given upon submission of an identity document.

The authorities of the security and safety manager of an event will be expanded. The consent of a parent for a child to be accompanied by another adult must be certified by a declaration and one adult would no longer be able to accompany more than three children.

Current sanctions will be raised and community service will be introduced as a form of legal punishment.
