At least 19 people were detained during a specialized operation by the General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime in the city of Bourgas on the Black Sea.

The persons detained are members of an organizational crime group involved in racketeering, drugs, arson, and assault and battery, and, along with the group’s leaders, have a criminal record, the prosecutor’s office press centre says. The crime group operated along the southern portion of the Bulgarian Black Sea coastline, but wielded influence nationwide.
