PM Boyko Borissov takes part in EU summit in Salzburg

Bulgarian Prime minister Boyko Borissov is taking part in the informal meeting of the EU heads of state or government taking place in Salzburg, Austria.

The main talking points include the progress made in border security, resilience in cyberspace, as well as upgrading police and judicial cooperation.

Boyko Borissov emphasized that Bulgaria was coping successfully with the protection of EU borders, and stated that the country needs to be admitted to Schengen immediately, as it meets all criteria. 

The informal summit will close with a meeting in the EU 27 format which will discuss a range of issues pertaining to Brexit.
