Bulgaria has been working actively to strengthen Balkan connectivity. This was stated by PM Boyko Borissov at the 12th ASEM Summit (ASEM12) Europe and Asia in Brussels, which this year is hosted by the EU.
Borisosv recalled that connectivity was one of the key priorities of the Bulgarian Euro-Presidency in the first half of 2018 and pointed out that one of the most significant achievements of this country was the return of the focus of attention to the European perspective of the Western Balkans.
According to Borissov, Bulgaria has strengthened its engagement within the framework of ASEM with the implementation of initiatives to boost links between Europe and Asia in key areas such as employment, finance, sustainable development, human rights, culture, education, etc.
