The final stage of the multinational training exercise Thracian Sword, 2018 starts today at Novo Selo training range near Sliven.

Around 200 troops from the special army forces of nine countries of Southeast Europe, as well as aircraft from the US air force, are taking part in the exercise. The exercise is being attended by the minister of defence and the chief of defence of Bulgaria. Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, who is also in attendance, stated that Bulgaria was pursuing a very balanced policy in the Balkans, a policy of peace, of friendship and cooperation.
