Bulgaria’s National Assembly has set up a system for cybersecurity as an element of the national security protection following amendments to the Cyber Security Act. The Bulgarian cabinet will be in charge of the new system. It will receive assistance by the Council on Cyber Security composed of the heads of the Bulgarian special services.  The new act envisages measures against accidents with severe economic consequences which undermine consumer confidence. Special security requirements to operators and providers of digital services are also introduced.
