Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, together with over 80 world leaders, including Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, Angela Merkel and dozens of monarchs, presidents and prime ministers from Europe, Africa and the Middle East, participated in Paris in a commemorative ceremony since the end of the First World War.

Later on, at the Paris Peace Forum, President Rumen Radev pointed out that in order to avoid division in Europe, connectivity in the field of science, technology and education was needed. If this gap between Eastern and Western Europe was not overcome, we could not be equal members of the EU, the Bulgarian President said, adding no real prospect for EU membership of the Western Balkan countries would also exist if the gap existed. At the forum, the president presented the initiative to establish Sustainable Technology Institute in Southeast Europe, in a way to stabilize the region so it becomes an attractive place for the younger generation.

At a meeting in the Musée d'Orsay, organized by the French President and his wife, President Rumen Radev spoke with US President Donald Trump, confirming the strategic partnership between Bulgaria and the United States.
