Belene nuclear power plant can be constructed in 8 years and would cost nearly EUR 9 billion, the analysis of the Bulgarian Ministry of Energy reads. According to the mandatory condition to the future strategic investors, Bulgaria must participate in this project in the form of a contribution in kind (the money invested by the National Electricity Company until now).
