Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov attends meeting of European Council on December 13 and 14

On December 13 and 14 Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov takes part at the regular sitting of the European Council in Brussels. The multiannual financial framework of the European Union 2021-2027, the European single market, migration and the events and developments related to Brexit will be among the main topics of discussion at the European Council. At the discussion on the reforms of the Common European Asylum System Bulgaria is expected to support the plans for purposeful actions aimed at keeping migrants near their countries of origin. According to Borissov 3 cabinet, the EU should establish a mechanism for early identification of signs of increased migration pressure.
