Bulgaria is the 20th country which recognized Juan Guaidó as interim President of Venezuela. This country is in a heavy political, social, economic, humanitarian and migrant crisis and our decision was not taken hastily. Nearly 4 million people have already escaped from the regime in Venezuela. Inflation in this country is about to reach 1.7 million per cent and there is a deficit of essentials in this country, Bulgaria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva said. No EU country recognized the results of the latest Presidential elections in Venezuela, Minister Zaharieva added. On Wednesday the Bulgarian government officially recognized Juan Guaidó as interim President of Venezuela.
