Bulgaria’s Patriarch Neophyte meets with Russia’s Premier Dmitry Medvedev in Sofia

Bulgaria’s Patriarch Neophyte met in Sofia with the Premier of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev in the presence of members of the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church. The Bulgarian Patriarchate and the Russian Orthodox Church have traditionally maintained good relations, Premier Medvedev and Patriarch Neophyte agreed. Dmitry Medvedev sent greetings to the Patriarch and the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church on behalf of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill. Premier Medvedev sent best wishes for future success at the church matters.
