German investors pleased with business conditions in Bulgaria

The Presidents of Bulgaria and Germany Rumen Radev and Frank-Walter Steinmeier opened a forum in Sofia on opportunities for the German economy in Bulgaria.

President Radev stated that conditions for German companies in Bulgaria are very good, and that there are more than 5,000 German companies already operating here, adding that 30 percent of the top 100 investors in the Bulgarian economy are from Germany.

President Steinmeier agreed that business conditions are good, but noted that what German companies need is well trained staff.

Rumen Radev commented that 17 percent of the young and able-bodied population have emigrated from Bulgaria but that a tendency has been taking shape of more and more young Bulgarians returning to the country.
