Direct airline between Sofia and Tehran being discussed

Sofia and Tehran are discussing opening a direct airline, Bulgarian Transport Minister Rossen Zhelyazkov announced after a meeting  of Bulgarian-Iranian Commission for Economic Cooperation. The countries have expressed interest in the resumption of international road transport of passengers. Memoranda of co-operation on accreditation, maritime transport, meteorology, post office work, energy and the interaction between the chambers of commerce of the two countries have also been signed. A final meeting on the project for Persian Gulf - Black Sea Transit Corridor is planned to take place within the next 6 months.
