The expected voter turnout at the forthcoming elections for European Parliament decreases, the latest sociological survey of Alpha Research agency shows. The number of surveyed Bulgarians who said they will vote for sure at the European Elections fell from 35.0% at the end of March to 32.9% at the end of April. 32.7% of the people will vote for the Bulgarian Socialist Party and 32.2% will vote for GERB. The Movement for Rights and Freedoms is expected to earn 9.3% of the votes. VMRO attracts most of the nationalist vote and can rely on the support of 6.0% of the Bulgarians. Patriots for Valeri Simeonov will earn 1.7% of the votes and Ataka is expected to earn 1.2% of the votes at the EP elections. We are yet to learn the answers of two main questions- whether the main political parties will manage to stop the outflow of supporters and whether some of the smaller political formations will manage to show a real political alternative and capacity for internal changes, the sociologists point out.
