President Rumen Radev: Great idea of United Europe could not have happened without victory over Fascism

Bulgarian President Rumen Radev presented flowers to the Unknown Soldier's Monument in Sofia to mark the 74th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. "Today we celebrate the Day of Victory and Europe Day. The great idea of ​​United Europe could not have been realized without the victory over Hitler’s fascism," the head of state said. Radev added that we have to respect the memory of the millions of victims in the fight against Nazism and not forget the contribution of Bulgaria. Relatives of people who died in World War II held a procession from the memorial of the Unknown Soldier to the Soviet Army Monument downtown Sofia. At an official ceremony the flag of the EU was raised in front of the Presidency."
