The President is planning a big meeting of our compatriots living abroad as an impetus for setting up a national council for Bulgarians abroad. This was announced by President Rumen Radev himself at a meeting with the Bulgarian community in Geneva.

Rumen Radev stated that the establishment of such a body is laid down by the law for Bulgarians living outside the Republic of Bulgaria and by the national strategy for Bulgarian citizens and historical communities abroad. Addressing the representatives of the Bulgarian community in Switzerland, the President stated that poor quality work by politicians, in the administration, in infrastructure, education and healthcare is something we should be uncompromising with. President Radev added that besides good macroeconomic indicators, we should also seek a shift from quantity to quality indicators in our lives.
