After two hours of debates, Bulgarian parliament rejected the presidential veto on the law ratifying the agreements on the acquisition of eight F-16 Block 70 aircraft.
President Rumen Radev contested the ratification with the motive that it was approved in haste and without a debate. The ruling GERB party called the veto misplaced and said it aimed to break the deal so negotiations with other countries can be started.
