Bulgaria climbed two positions in the 2019 Global Competitiveness Report of the World Economic Forum. Bulgaria is now 49th among 141 countries. The methodology of the Global Competitiveness Report includes a total of 98 indicators. Bulgaria’s places 30th in the Information and Communication Technologies’ Adoption pillar, 40th in terms of the labor market and 43rd when it comes to macroeconomic stability. However, Bulgaria ranks 116th in terms of employment of qualified personnel, 81st when it comes to human health and 73rd in the financial system pillar.
