Georgi Dermendzhiev was appointed as the new head coach of Bulgaria’s national football team. Dermendzhiev replaces Krasimir Balakov who resigned after the match versus England when Bulgaria suffered a heavy 0:6 defeat. The new coach of the Bulgarian national team signed a six month contract. The sixty four-year-old Dermendzhiev is a three time champion with Ludogorets (Razgrad). He also coached Levski (Sofia) and the Kazakhstan premier league team Ordabasy.
