Sixteen-year-old British girl sends presents to Bulgarian children

Sixteen-year-old British citizen Charlotte Baker from Ditcheat, Somerset, spent a month collecting and making up boxes with presents for children in Bulgaria and Eastern Serbia, the BNR correspondent in Great Britain Veselin Paunov reports, quoting Metro newspaper. Charlotte became a fundraiser in 2013 when her brother died in car accident. Her boxes include essential items such as toothbrushes and toothpaste, soaps, stationery, toys and warm clothing. The boxes are checked, sent and delivered to the children in Bulgaria and Eastern Serbia by local distributors. Charlotte’s friends are looking into whether they can help her achieve her dream of travelling to Bulgaria to see the boxes being opened by the children who receive them.
