Bulgaria considers strategies to increase investments in tourism

In 2020, Bulgaria’s Ministry of Tourism is planning a series of meetings with business representatives from other countries as well as joint forums aimed at promoting investments in Tourism. It became clear after the meeting of Bulgaria’s Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova with nearly 70 representatives of diplomatic missions in Bulgaria. The Tourism Ministry is planning a joint initiative with Italy in the field of cultural tourism and a business forum in Israel in wellness, Spa and cultural tourism. It is also planning a bilateral forum with the participation of Bulgarian and Turkish tour operators. Bulgaria is also working on the idea for common route with Greece to attract tourists from remote markets. The Bulgarian authorities are preparing a campaign aimed at popularizing Bulgaria as tourism destination on the American market. A new initiative of the Tourism Ministry envisages cooperation with bloggers and influencers to promote Bulgaria as year-round tourism destination.
