The Pamporovo resort in the Rhodope Mountains reports a 9% rise in the number of tourists compared to last year. Since the start of the ski season, about 100,000 tourists have passed through the resort. Bulgarian and Balkan tourists are the prevailing group. The interest of British tourists remains stable and the number of Turkish tourists has been growing in comparison to the previous year.
Almost all ski runs in the area are open and skiing conditions are excellent, the resort officials report.
