Director-General was responsible for stopping BNR’s broadcast last year, report reads

There are indications but no evidence that political pressure was exercised in order to stop the BNR's central program, Horizon, for 5 hours in September 2019. This is the main conclusion of the Temporary Parliamentary Committee in its report on the case. "The general political conclusion is that the Director-General is responsible for the operation of the Radio, and for this reason we find that the Director-General was responsible for stopping the radio transmission," the committee said. After the incident, BNR Director General Svetoslav Kostov was fired. The report is to be discussed in Parliament's plenary room.
