Bulgaria and 7 other EU Members seek cancellation of Mobility Package

Eight Member States have asked the EU to support transport companies affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and to cease activity on reforming the working conditions of truckers. In their letter, the transport ministers of Bulgaria, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Cyprus, Latvia, Malta and Romania have called on the EU to support transport companies, the way it was considering doing with airlines. The eight Member States believe that the Mobility Package, along with the effects of the coronavirus would bring many carriers to bankruptcy.
