National Crisis Staff urges the public not to go to church at Easter

21 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases in the country up to 498.

A total of 34 patients have recovered and 14 have died so far. One of the newly-infected people is a 1-year old baby. 23 cases have been confirmed among medical staff. One more region has been added to the list of regions with registered coronavirus cases - Vratsa in northwestern Bulgaria.

General Ventislav Mutafchiyski, head of the National Crisis Staff called on the public not to assemble or go to church during the upcoming Easter holidays so as to prevent the spread of the infection.
