According to NSI preliminary data, in February construction production in Bulgaria decreased by 1.1% compared to the same month in 2019. The decline is caused by a 2.4% decline in building construction, but in the spheres of civil and engineering construction there is a rise of 0.8%. At the same time, industrial production has an average growth of 1.1%. Growth has been registered in the processing industry /2.4% on an annual basis /, and a decline in extractive industry /8.5%/, as well as in production and distribution of electricity, heat and gas /6.3%/.
