In a telephone conversation, Bulgaria's President Rumen Radev commended Turkish President Recep Erdogan on the measures taken to combat the coronavirus outbreak in Turkey and to provide social and economic support to those affected in order to mitigate the negative effects of the crisis. Radev also expressed appreciation for Turkey's rapid response, as it was the first country to provide medical supplies and protective equipment to Bulgaria after the start of the pandemic.

Turkey's President Recep Erdogan noted Turkey's assistance in evacuating 46 Bulgarian citizens from Morocco.
The two presidents agreed that the fight against the coronavirus requires joint efforts, cooperation and solidarity.
