MEP Eva Maydell: Bulgaria will quickly emerge out of state-of-emergency regime

Countries like Bulgaria, which quickly introduced restrictions against the spread of Covid-19, have saved many lives and are likely to be the first to emerge from the related crisis. The experience of well-performing countries shows that an effective next step will be to accurately track who the infected people have been in contact with as well as to quarantine and test them, said Bulgarian MEP Eva Maydell from the European People's Party. 45% of coronavirus infections are transmitted through people who do not have any symptoms. This makes wearing masks extremely useful and effective, Maydell recommends.
