Bulgaria calls on EU to freeze some rules on freight transportation

Bulgaria has called on the European Commission that until 31 May truck drivers should be permitted to spend their regular weekly breaks in the driver's cabins if the vehicle allows. Bulgaria also requests the maximum hours for driving during the state of emergency due to Covid-19 be extended. The European Commission is expected to respond positively, as it did in March, the Bulgarian National Radio reports. 

These regulations apply only within the territory of the requesting Member State.
