With 90 new cases, number of people infected with Covid-19 in Bulgaria reaches 1,171

At 8:00 a.m. on Friday, head of the National Crisis Staff General Ventsislav Mutafchiyski announced that 90 new cases of infection had been registered in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours. Most of them are in Sofia – 29 new cases.

The cases of infection in Bulgaria have already reached 1171, a rise of 8.3 percent compared to the previous day. There are 890 active cases across the country. There are 34 new cases of infection among medics, with a total of 129 infected or 11% of all cases. In the past 24 hours, three more patients have recovered and the total number of recovered patients has reached 193. Two people passed away in the past day and the total number of deaths has reached 52, which is 4.4% of the total number of cases.
