People would stay and work in Bulgaria’s agriculture if wages increase by 60%

The Bulgarians employed in the agriculture field in Western Europe may stay and work in their home country if wages in Bulgaria’s agriculture increase, the Chairperson of the National Federation of Agriculture with the Confederation of Labor Podkrepa Anelia Ivanova said in an interview for the Bulgarian National Radio. According to analysis of the federation, this may happen if wages see 60% increase. For the purpose, Bulgaria can use funds under the European Commission’s measures aimed at increasing state support due to the Covid-19 crisis, the analysis of the National Federation of Agriculture reads.
